When you get to hear Andrew speak, you will not only remember it forever but you will also immediately ask yourself why an understanding of the neurobiology of living, loving and learning isn’t on the syllabus for all teacher training? But then not all neurobiologists speak with the same no-nonsense honesty that Andrew exhibits.
Controversial, challenging, direct, passionate and incredibly knowledgeable, you won't have experienced anything like him before.
A practicing paediatric neurologist at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool and an Independent Thinking favourite for many years, Andrew makes the complicated workings of the learning brain not simple but understandable. And he does it in such a way that everyone can use what they have learned to improve what goes on in school. Apart from his hospital and education work, Andrew has also been featured on TV and is the author of The Little Book of Big Stuff About the Brain.
