Yours or theirs, well-being is increasingly finding itself at the heart of what great schools do.
And recent events have only served to reinforce that.
To help teachers and school leaders everywhere, regardless of the context in which they work, we have brought together four of our top Associates who all have something important to share about well-being, emotional health, personal growth and moving from surviving to thriving.
Nina Jackson is our go-to guru when it comes to mental health and well-being in schools and is in demand across the globe for her important, accessible and transformative work in this area. She is currently working on her latest book all about 'Schools Being Well'.
Jackie Beere OBE has always put emotional health and personal development at the heart of her work around teaching children and young people how to learn, how to use their brains and how to succeed as a happy, confident learner. Her most recent book, Independent Thinking on Teaching and Learning was a BERA finalist 2021.
Roy Leighton's insights in books such as 101 Days to Make a Change show us how to be emotionally intelligent, spiritually balanced and how a playful attitude can help us in the serious business of promoting a happy, healthy approach to life and work.
Julie Rees is the headteacher of a values-based school as described in her book The Little Book of Values. Through leadership that highlights values, prioritises well-being and draws on skills including coaching, she has developed what she calls 'stressless headship'.
This free webinar is hosted by Independent Thinking founder Ian Gilbert and will include opportunities for Q&A with a live audience.
