Drawing on his 17 years as a national Philosophy for Children specialist - he was chair of SAPERE for several years – and his experience in education as an associate lecturer at Oxford Brookes University, as a former Head of RE and a Deputy Head of VIth Form, Will shows teachers how to work with children so they develop into ‘critical, caring, creative, and collaborative learners who can make their education a great adventure’.
Over the last decade Will has worked with teachers of all stages in twelve countries across the world, has spoken regularly at national conferences and has written for the TES as well as for school text books on thinking, RE and Citizenship.
As with all Independent Thinking Associates, Will very much walks the talk. Apart from his work with teachers and children, he also meditates regularly, once interviewed the Dalai Lama, recently spent six months ‘on retreat’ in India and has flirted with auto-urine therapy (yes, that!)
