When it comes to getting children to overcome their fears, stretch themselves and aim high then someone who has lived a little can always speak with more authority than anyone whose idea of risk taking is going round the roundabout with the car radio on.

So, if your CV includes swimming at national level under an Olympic coach then it shows that this person has applied themselves and knows what effort and achievement is all about.

But what if that person has also been a professional racing car driver whose career ended with a 120 miles per hour crash at Donnington Park. And a professional rock musician with a string of albums and live performances supporting acts including Motorhead and AC/DC. And a cameraman for projects on Channel 4 and Channel 5 (he's the man behind the camera on the Independent Thinking Live! footage on this website) who has filmed and interviewed 'stars' from Dame Edna to Marlon Dingle. And has been a rock climber, a canoeist and even a pilot.

And who refuses to let something like multiple sclerosis get in his way.

But then Mike Bailey is a man on a mission to get the most out of life and encourage others to do the same, something he achieves through an amazing and unique Event combining lights, cameras and action with professionals from the world of TV and a confidence building, motivational message that changes young lives.
