The unique Technofest Day that will transform the way you look at learning technology in your school
Led by the UK's leading technology for learning Evangelist Russell Prue
This powerful day brings Russell and your learners together to map out just how the technologies that they already know, use, own and love can transform the way they learn at school and at home.
And that this can be achieved in a way that is secure, safe, managed and effective.
The day can be split into four sessions:
Session One:
Russell will explore with a pre-selected, mixed-age group of learners (let's call them Ambassadors for New Technology) how their own technology can be used in lessons at school and at home. From mobile phones to MP3 players, Wiis and PSPs - it's all fair game for learning with a bit of imagination, the savvy that your learners already have in this area and the sort of knowledge of his subject that Russell has.
The Ambassadors work in small groups to explore what they would use and how, which then leads into...
Session Two:
Each group will then feedback to an invited audience comprising teachers, school leaders and governors, sharing with them the insights and ideas they have picked up and how these can be implemented safely and effectively at school. The groups then run a much more detailed session with the Ambassadors leading short workshops for their teachers. This leads to..
Session Three
An hour-long whole-staff twilight session led by Russell and the Ambassadors to incorporate a Q&A session (for the staff who need the most convincing). The Ambassadors then have a task to prepare for...
Session Four
A 90-minute parent workshop specifically for the parents of the young people who have been involved all day (although other parents could be invited too). This would allow the parents to see how technology can be used for learning as well as cover important issues like safety on the internet and how to spot if that seven-person conversation on Bebo is actually an attempt at the science homework.
Your investment in this unique Event that adds a whole new dimension to learning, technology, staff development and student voice is £1950 (plus expenses and VAT) or £1500 if you don't take the parent session option.
And, as ever, it comes with our standard satisfaction or your money back guarantee.
