Is yours a teaching school or a learning school? (Remember, you can teach for a week without anyone learning anything.)
Are the teachers learners too?
Is the headteacher the headlearner?
Do the children learn how to learn and can they employ a range of different learning, thinking and memorising strategies?
This is what we mean by a 'learning school' - an environment that is creative, aspirational, emotionally intelligent, inclusive and ready for the challenges of the 21st century.
